In July of 2004, Chanceford Township adopted the state-wide building code.  The Township has contracted with Commonwealth Code Inspection Service, Inc. to do building code inspections within the Twp.

     A building permit is required for the following:

    
     Building permits are not required for Agricultural Buildings.

     In addition to building permits, the Township issues Zoning Permits.  Zoning permits are required for any building, addition, deck, pool, or other structure costing $2,000 or more.

     Please contact the Township Office to verify whether or not you need a building and/or zoning permit.
